How do you build one car for the entire world? You get the world to design it. When drivers everywhere tell you they want more style, more safety and more performance, you listen, all while understanding the importance for greater fuel efficiency, now more than ever. These are the needs of drivers around the world. And this is the 2013 Malibu - the first global midsize sedan from Chevrolet.
Coming in 2012.
Designed to attract
When designing the all-new Malibu, we built a vehicle that not only turns heads in North America, but around the world. The exterior takes cues from the aggressive styling and expressive design of both the Camaro and Corvette. The cockpit interior design is as comfortable and spacious as it is quiet. And its anticipated segment-leading aerodynamics not only creates a distinctive presence on every road, it also improves fuel efficiency.
2013 Malibu Eco
Fuel efficiency isn't a preference - it's an expectation. For the first time on a Chevrolet, the all-new Malibu Eco features a 2.4L ECOTEC® engine equipped with new fuel-saving eAssist™ technology. Every time you stop, the regenerative braking system stores power in an advanced lithium-ion battery, which powers the radio, climate control and other accessories, helping to improve fuel efficiency.
Surrounded by safety
Safety is a top priority - for us and for you. So there's no wonder why up to 10 airbags surround Malibu's ultra-strength steel frame. But that's where you expect to find safety features. Where you don't expect to find it? We have that covered too. The new Lane Departure System provides visual and audible alerts to help you change lanes safely. And the available Rearview Camera System automatically displays what's directly behind you in the rearview mirror, or on the 7 navigation screen, proving that we're thinking ahead, even when you're looking behind.
